Charles Potts

I first met Charles Potts, and a host of other Idaho writers, at the Limberlost Fandango in the early 90s, having published some of Charles’ poetry in the early editions of Dry Crik Review. As part of the Beat Movement in the late 60s and early 70s, he has since published over twenty-five collections of poetry, notably “Rocky Mountain Man” (The Smith, 1978) and “The Litmus Papers” (Gunrunner Press, 1969) and included in as many anthologies, as well as authoring four novels of which “Loading Las Vegas” (Current, 1991) won the First Place Novel Award for creative excellence in fiction from Manuscript’s International. As a supporter of poetry and publisher, he has founded Litmus, Inc, Tsunami, Inc., the Temple School of Poetry and the Temple Bookstore in Walla Walla.
